Job Description Under Faculty Practice Revenue Cycle leadership, the Cash Management Analyst integrates AI solutions into the revenue cycle, supports related projects, and supervises daily team operations.
Responsibilities
Manages the daily work assignments of the Cash Management team.
Ensures staff productivity and performs staff quality reviews.
Identifies and implements credit mitigation and payer underpayment tactics through research, workflow updates, and reporting.
Identifies front‑end revenue cycle training opportunities to accelerate revenues and minimize controllable adjustments.
Participates in the build, testing, validation, and development of AI job aids, and evaluates tool accuracy.
Applies dashboards and processes for continuous analysis of complex revenue cycle functions.
Analyzes complex financial data, identifies revenue cycle trends, and presents reports to leadership.
Liaises with departments to define reporting requirements, develop reports, and propose system enhancements.
Works proactively with departments to ensure compliance with regulations.
Evaluates and improves revenue cycle workflows for efficiency and timeliness.
Maintains currency with government regulations, reimbursement issues, and related financial impacts; drafts changes to systems, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven (7) years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree plus three years of related experience.
Thorough knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, charge capture, and cash management.
Deep understanding of reporting instruments, metrics, analytics, and workflow measurement.
Detail‑oriented with strong time‑management and problem‑solving skills.
Proficient in report development, dashboard design, and database, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex financial information.
Strong analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
Effective interpersonal skills for collaborative project work across disciplines.
Experience serving as a technical resource to managers on regulatory changes and industry trends.
Preferred Qualifications
Supervisory experience leading a Cash Management team.
Experience with Epic greater, particularly in a Cash Management role.
Advanced Excel analytical skills (intermediate or above).
Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
