Job Description At Regions, the Software Engineer Manager oversees application development for a large or complex department. The role manages strategy development to ensure the application portfolio meets current business requirements and remains operational, stable, reliable, and technically mature.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of system design, development, deployment, acquisition, and ongoing maintenance for all application systems within areas of responsibility.
Serve as the primary technology contact for senior management from all areas of the organization to develop solutions that increase efficiency of internal business functions, resolve business problems, and support pursuit of business opportunities.
Create and refine operational processes and systems to ensure effective regulatory and audit compliance.
Apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
Evaluate customer and operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure compatibility of all interfaces.
Support the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements through management processes.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay. It is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Eight (8) years of relevant experience, of which two (2) years must be in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
Preferences
Experience in a technology role in banking or a financial services industry.

Temenos Core Banking Transformation
Lead the implementation and customization of Temenos Transact (T24) and related modules.
Oversee migration from legacy systems to Temenos, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
Collaborate with Temenos consultants and internal stakeholders to configure, test, and deploy solutions.
Technical Oversight
Drive architectural decisions for integration with APIs, middleware, and third‑party systems.
Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and compliance.
Monitor system performance and scalability during and after transformation.
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with business units, product owners, and project managers to align technical solutions with strategic objectives.
Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.
Quality & Compliance
Implement robust testing strategies for Temenos modules and customizations.
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, data privacy standards, and internal governance policies.
Location Onsite (now or in the near future). Regular work hours include full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager sets the work schedule. Locations: Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC.
Relocation assistance is not provided. Relocation would be at the employee’s expense.

Compensation Details Pay ranges are job specific. The target market range for this position is:
Minimum: $160,754.55 USD
Median: $215,490.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: eligible for the annual discretionary incentive plan and the Long Term Incentive Plan.
