Position Overview Eighth Generation is seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse department in Seattle. Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of order fulfillment, shipping/receiving, physical and digital inventory management, warehouse and workflow operations, safety compliance, and team leadership. This role also supports sourcing and procurement, including identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts and optimizing the procurement process. The Warehouse Manager plays a vital role in ensuring that authentic Native art, excellence, and values are reflected in every package that leaves our facility — and in the culture we build within our team. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring operational expertise, communication skills, and a passion for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all warehouse staff, including seasonal and temporary team members, to meet daily, weekly, and monthly operational goals.

Organize and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse and production space in accordance with safety regulations.

Oversee all inventory control procedures, including physical and digital receiving, storage, and fulfillment.

Work closely with logistics vendors to schedule, coordinate, and track LTL and FTL shipments to and from the Eighth Generation warehouse.

Train relevant staff in warehouse processes and safety procedures; maintain onboarding for seasonal associates.

Develop and implement improvements to internal systems, workflow, and infrastructure for better efficiency.

Manage purchasing of warehouse supplies and equipment in line with department budget.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (product development, operations, order channels and marketing) to meet company‑wide goals.

Prepare and communicate weekly reports regarding inventory, sales trends, and fulfillment efficiency.

Maintain compliance with health and safety standards, including injury reporting and equipment safety protocols.

Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business goals and budget targets.

Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with new and existing suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure favorable terms and mitigate risk.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience supervising a team in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.

At least 1 year of experience using order management software (e.g., Shippo, Shopify) and inventory platforms (e.g., Shopify).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for reporting and analysis).

Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional partners.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to independently research and improve systems.

Able to stand for extended periods and operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Ability to pass a background check.

Commitment to learning about Native experiences and supporting a values‑based, culturally respectful work environment.

Familiarity with health and safety compliance, including injury reporting.

Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field — or equivalent experience.

Proven track record in vendor negotiations and contract management (or willingness to learn).

Forklift certification or other relevant warehouse equipment training.

Experience coordinating with third‑party logistics (LTL/FTL shipping).

Familiarity with Native American Cultures and value systems.

Industry experience in one of the following fields: Consumer Packaged Goods, Apparel, Accessories, or Homegoods.
