Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Reporting & Dashboards Lead
Join Walmart Connect to lead the Reporting & Dashboards team within Operational Analytics in our San Bruno, CA office. As the reporting & dashboards leader, you will drive the design, build, and governance of data visuals that guide our advertising operations capabilities across all Walmart Merchant Center (WMC) display, search, and in‑store offerings.
Base Pay Range $117,000 – $234,000 per year
Responsibilities
Provide vision, leadership, and day‑to‑day management of the Reporting & Dashboards team.
Lead the effort on developing the highest‑quality reports and dashboards that empower decision making on inventory, pricing, sell‑thru rates, performance metrics, and operational planning.
Build state‑of‑the‑art visualizations for dashboards using best practice design tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
Clearly articulate the limits of dashboarding products such as Tableau and Power BI and design workarounds where necessary.
Partner closely with Operations & Client Services, Sales Strategy, Product, and Sales to monitor roll‑out of new products, features, and integrations, and build productive, cross‑functional relationships at all levels.
Provide input to the product roadmap and identify dashboards that can be “productized.”
Challenge status quo and identify opportunities to consolidate dashboards.
Accountable for performance and output of dashboards and reports, ensuring stability while adhering to SLAs.
Ensure development of high‑quality reports and dashboards in line with best practices established within WMC.
Collaborate with XFN insights teams and contribute to Weekly Business Reviews.
Contribute to the Data Governance framework and ensure correct access controls are applied to dashboards.
Establish team goals and visions and work with direct reports to execute, measure progress, and share results.
Recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire a high‑performance team of dashboarding & reporting analysts.
Provide supervisory and development opportunities for associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and ensuring diversity awareness.
Work with offshore analytics teams as needed and develop clear team roles and responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance, or related field and 3 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, or statistics.
Master’s degree in related field and 1 year’s experience, or 5 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, or statistics.
1 year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of online advertising industry experience with understanding of advertising KPIs.
Proficient in dashboard design and visualization in Tableau and/or Power BI.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast‑paced environments while managing multiple projects.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams with empathy and high‑performance culture.
Deep knowledge and experience working with large complex data sets.
Strong business communication skills, written and verbal.
Fluency in digital media metrics such as impressions, CTR, CPM, fill rates, unique users, page views, and campaign optimization.
