Azure DevOps Engineer with minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience, to support and enhance our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Azure services and DevOps practices, with a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. This will be at minimum a 12 month long contract with potential conversion or extension. This candidate will be in office in the client’s Addison, Texas office 3‑4x a week.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
Monitor and troubleshoot build, release, and infrastructure issues.
Maintain and optimize Azure environments, including App Services, AKS, VMs, and networking components.
Implement security best practices and ensure compliance across DevOps workflows.
Contribute to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
Experience and Skills
Around 2 years of experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps tools (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts).
Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Hands‑on experience with Azure services and cloud infrastructure management.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes/AKS).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
Microsoft certifications such as AZ‑104 (Azure Administrator) or AZ‑400 (Azure DevOps Engineer).
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
