Java Developer (Backend + AWS Cloud) -10+ Years

Java AWS Location: Dallas, TX

Skills Required AWS / Cloud

Hands‑on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS using IaC (Terraform and/or CloudFormation) and container platforms (ECS or EKS).

Strong with core AWS services: EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, KMS, Route 53, Load Balancers, and security best practices.

Solid grasp of scaling, high availability, DNS, S3 storage classes, and S3 encryption methods.

Able to explain architecture decisions clearly and logically.

Java / Backend

Strong fundamentals in core Java, concurrency, collections, immutability, and thread safety.

Experience with REST APIs, microservices, OAuth, and Spring.

Understanding of Kafka basics, mocking frameworks (Mockito/PowerMock), and common caching frameworks.

Capable of discussing JPA/Hibernate, JDBC batch processing, XML parsers, thread dumps, synchronization, and class/method design choices.
