LHH is partnering with a well-established medical device organization that is looking to bring on an Accounting Supervisor. This role is responsible for overseeing the general accounting functions of their US-based accounting team, including ownership of the month‑end accounting close and reporting process, audit coordination, and compliance with local, government, or statutory reporting requirements.
This position is critical in establishing and maintaining consistency in the monthly accounting close cycle while enhancing accounting policies and best practices. The Accounting Supervisor will identify and implement process improvements to drive timely and accurate financial reporting. Strong leadership skills are essential, as this role involves managing and building best‑in‑class, operationally focused teams and fostering effective cross‑functional relationships. The position reports directly to the Controller.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the monthly US GAAP financial close process through direct management and indirect influence of teams.
Review and approve journal entries, variance analysis, and account reconciliations to ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal policies.
Prepare month-end financial statements and analysis.
Monitor and maintain financial reporting control structure; coordinate with auditors.
Analyze KPI and productivity close metrics to optimize operational results.
Manage commission process, including month‑end calculations and accruals.
Support annual budget process and monthly/quarterly projections.
Maintain consolidation, planning, and reporting applications.
Manage treasury/cash functions, including weekly cash flow forecasts and banking relationships.
Supervise accounting staff.
Serve as OneStream system administrator.
Complete ad‑hoc projects and requests as required.
