Position Overview Physician – Program Director, Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging Fellowship (Open Rank/Track Faculty) at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center.

Reporting to the Department Chair, this role oversees the educational mission and patient care outcomes of the fellowship program, providing operational leadership and collaborating with departmental and institutional leaders.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide leadership of the educational mission, ensuring trainee milestone achievement and faculty teaching performance.

Foster a safe learning environment that supports interdisciplinary care and high‑quality clinical services.

Assess fellowship quality outcome metrics, supporting resource utilization and adherence to protocols.

Ensure supervision of trainees matches their skill level and activity at OSUWMC.

Assure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).

Lead recruitment, retention, and development of high‑performing trainees.

Develop a nationally respected training program and improve national rankings.

Encourage fellow involvement in practice guideline implementation and compliance.

Monitor key indicators of program success: performance, evaluation data, surveys, procedure data, faculty development, graduate performance.

Collaborate on curriculum development to meet trainee needs.

Attend administrative meetings to ensure program success.

Ensure timely documentation: annual surveys, program updates, citations, training data, milestone reports.

Requirements

M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree.

Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR).

Subspecialty fellowship in Abdominal & Pelvic Imaging.

Three years post‑fellowship experience.

Eligible for licensure in Ohio.
