The Role Kasa is seeking a strategic, commercially driven senior leader to oversee a regional portfolio of multifamily short-term rental apartments, hotels, and apartment-hotel properties. Success requires deep experience in hotel and full-building operations. You will manage a multi-market portfolio, ensuring regional goals both inform and align with Kasa's broader commercial strategies and owner expectations.
As Area Vice President of Portfolio Operations, you will serve as the CEO of your region: you will act as a business owner responsible for leading other General Managers and ensuring commercial and operational success across a diverse portfolio. You will balance strategic vision with strong operational and financial execution, lead high-performing teams and P&L owners to deliver exceptional guest experiences, optimize financial outcomes, and strengthen partner relationships. This role requires a leader who can ask the right commercial questions, make the right operational calls, assess risk, manage escalations with sound judgment, and translate strategy into clear executional priorities.
Key responsibilities include translating strategies into actionable regional business plans, bridging hospitality operations with business strategy, and driving sustained profitability, guest experience, and reputation.

Establish cost-control and margin-expansion frameworks aligned with owner and partner expectations.
Standardize regional KPIs and quality metrics for balanced performance.
Prioritize property CapEx and activation initiatives focused on quality and brand standards.

Identify risks, performance gaps, and emerging issues proactively.
Build a bench of high-performing leaders with clear ownership.
Implement structured training, coaching, and development programs.
Coach GMs and AGMs to prepare and present budgets and performance narratives to owners.
Enforce accountability so every leader "knows their numbers."
Reinforce a culture of performance, fearless feedback, and continuous improvement.

Develop comprehensive regional business plans linked to commercial strategies.

Experience 10+ years of progressively senior leadership in hospitality operations, hotel asset management, real estate operations, or multi-site service industries, with proven ability to translate commercial strategy into execution. Prior General Manager experience required.
Proven ability to manage multi-market P&Ls and lead geographically distributed teams.
Success in balancing operational excellence with financial performance and partner management.
Strong people leadership with decisive hiring, development, and exit processes.
Experience managing owner or institutional partner relationships, with a track record of effective communication and performance reporting.
Adept at financial storytelling, data-driven decision-making, and executive-level communication.
Deep operational acumen combined with strategic thinking and business partner capabilities.
Comfortable navigating fast-paced, complex environments that demand innovation and adaptability.

The Pay : Total compensation ranges from $190,000 to $260,000, including a base of $135,000 to $185,000 plus performance incentives. Pay is market-based and may be modified. Equity, bonuses, perks, and Kasa Travel Credits may also be included.
