– Onsite preferred; Remote possible with frequent travel required.

Opportunity Overview Engineer, Sr to Principal – BESS Storage – Contract 1 year.
Your Day-to-Day Plan, design, and accomplish multiple aspects of energy storage projects, including scope definition, engineering oversight, and cross‑team consulting to deliver outstanding products.
Responsibilities
Support design phase and engineer major components for large‑scale energy storage projects.
Identify inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action, and improve design quality and efficiency.
Resolve errors in engineering studies and recommend future solutions.
Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts.
Support projects from launch to completion in collaboration with project managers.
Influence project teams on engineering tasks.
Track project progress and address technical issues.
Manage project milestones and identify risks.
Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
Integrate systems and controls across diverse teams.
Understand permitting requirements, propose solutions to legal challenges, and recommend site design improvements.
Handle any other assigned responsibilities.
Travel approximately 25% of the time for project‑specific duties.
Who You Are
3+ years of experience in Solar/PV Engineering or Construction.
Expertise in at least one of: power electronics, battery storage system design, substation design, generation tie design.
Familiarity with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters.
Knowledge of lithium‑ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections).
Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730.
Ability to perform specialized technical tasks independently.
