About the Opportunity LINK is actively seeking a
Senior Strategist
to join our dynamic team, where we leverage strong partnerships and a robust portfolio of clients across diverse industries. You will be responsible for leading and executing innovative design strategies, collaborating with both internal teams and executive-level clients, and driving impactful visual storytelling to meet client objectives.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to bring a combination of creative and strategic expertise to elevate LINK’s business growth and deliver high-quality, human-centered design solutions. You will work closely with clients to understand their challenges, develop compelling narratives, and implement design strategies that align with their mission, goals, and brand identity. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of designing impactful visual experiences, utilizing data-driven insights, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver exceptional client results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communication, English, or a related field
7-10 years of experience in strategic communication, public affairs, or a similar role
Strong creative design and execution skills to achieve customer objectives through design
Ability to build and maintain robust client relationships and foster positive interpersonal connections
Interest in visual storytelling, including data visualization and conceptualizing abstract ideas
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear, approachable, and knowledgeable manner
Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with clients to understand their challenges and the respective solution, then co-create effective products to convey it all to the appropriate audience
In partnership with the VP of Strategy, elevate content artifacts and demonstrate thought leadership to the team around quality standards and deliverables from a content lens
Translate ideas into compelling campaigns, solutions, stories
Capture client requirements, missions, visions, goals, and KPIs/OKRs
Help design and develop effective meetings and workshops to co-create solutions with clients and gather content
Identify content, hierarchies, and visual concepts for visual storytelling products to include the creation of content maps and wireframes
Work with the design team to develop infographics, charts, diagrams, presentations, and other visual products to convey both quantitative data and abstract concepts for use in print and digital formats
Apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to technically complex problem sets
Perform primary and secondary research with a high level of journalistic standards
Work iteratively by proactively asking for feedback from internal partners and clients to incrementally improve solutions
Define opportunities to create tangible business value for the client by leading current state assessments and identifying high level customer requirements
Manage multiple projects with internal project teams; work to organize assignments and track progress from both a financial and a deliverable standpoint
Manage multiple projects with external stakeholders, and navigate new requests into new business opportunities
Manage project deadlines and workloads
Develop and maintain client relationships
Work Schedule
Full time, 40 hours per week
Some travel required to attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events
Salary and Benefits Salary:
We’re committed to providing competitive compensation, including locality adjustments based on the Washington, D.C. area. The base salary range for this position is
[$112,000-$152,000] . Your final offer will reflect your experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
$100 monthly internet/cell phone stipend
