How You’ll Make An Impact As Sales Director, you would hold a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing and driving the political sales team within an organization. Your role would involve growing the revenue by developing sales strategies, managing the sales team, and driving revenue growth through effective sales techniques.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute the outside sales strategy, aligning it with overall business objectives and market opportunities.

Identify target markets, set sales goals, and define tactics to achieve revenue growth.

Lead and manage a team of outside sales professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive performance.

Set sales targets, manage territories, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a high‑performance sales culture.

Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, product management, operations) to align sales strategies with business objectives.

Assess and optimize the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness, streamlining workflows and implementing sales tools and technologies.

Develop and implement sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the outside sales team.

Maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, including political campaigns, media agencies, and the SiriusXM sales team.

Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales planning and forecasting.

Collect and report on sales metrics, KPIs, and insights to drive continuous improvement.

Represent the organization at industry events and conferences, acting as a thought leader to advance audio adoption within the political vertical.

What You’ll Need

10+ years of experience in the media industry, with a focus on political advertising.

10+ years of people leadership, with a track record of building, coaching, and scaling high‑performing teams.

Deep understanding of the advertising landscape, including different types of campaigns, target audiences, and messaging.

Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including political campaigns, media agencies, and the SiriusXM sales team.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Base salary for this position is in the range of $125,000 to $155,000 and may include discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives.
