Service Electrician Journeyman Top Secret Clearance

The Electrician is responsible for performing Journeyman level duties related to electrical components and systems such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. This position serves multiple facilities throughout the DMV area. Company car and gas card provided.
Pay Rate: Up to $54.50 per hour total compensation based on experience.
Shift: 6:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Essential Job Functions
Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
Locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical system or equipment.
Solves standard computations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment using a variety of hand tools and measuring and testing instruments.
Documents actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis, and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation.
Repairs electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
Determines the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
Maintains a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and reporting violations.
Uses ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, on roadside poles and in commercial properties.
Answers emergency calls quickly, assesses the safety of the situation upon first arriving and provides directions to individuals affected to ensure their safety and comfort.
Maintains equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; reports any issues to supervisor.
