We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer
with a strong background in circuit board design, hands‑on debugging, and troubleshooting. You’ll work closely with mechanical, optical, and software engineers in a highly collaborative small‑team environment, designing and refining electronics for high‑performance scientific instruments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across disciplines, solving unique engineering problems, and seeing their designs come to life in the lab.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop printed circuit boards (PCBs) from concept through production, including schematic capture, layout, and documentation.
Perform hands‑on debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production systems.
Develop and refine analog signal processing circuits to meet demanding performance specifications.
Collaborate closely with optical and mechanical engineers to integrate electronics into complete scientific instrument systems.
Participate in every stage of product development – from concept brainstorming to manufacturing handoff.
Maintain clear, organized documentation of designs, tests, and revisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of relevant industry experience, including PCB design and analog circuit development.
Proficiency with EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or equivalent).
Strong hands‑on skills with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic equipment.
Solid understanding of analog signal design principles.
Ability to thrive in a small‑team environment, wearing multiple hats and taking ownership of projects.
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience with optical systems and sensors.
Knowledge of low‑noise electronics design for precision measurements.
Familiarity with high‑speed data acquisition or scientific instrumentation.
