Product Test Engineer - Manufacturing

Position Overview The Manufacturing/Testing Engineer supports product manufacturing and validation by developing, implementing, and improving production and testing processes. This role ensures products meet quality, performance, and safety standards while maintaining efficiency and cost-effectiveness throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing and testing procedures for new and existing products.
Collaborate with Product Engineering, Quality, and Operations to resolve production and test-related issues.
Support product builds, including setup, calibration, and validation of testing equipment.
Analyze test data and product performance to identify trends and drive corrective or preventive actions.
Participate in design reviews to ensure manufacturability and testability of new products.
Create and maintain process documentation, test instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective action investigations related to test failures or manufacturing defects.
Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure components and materials meet specifications.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing and testing processes for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Support equipment maintenance, calibration schedules, and process validation activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, product testing, or process engineering within a production environment.
Hands‑on experience with test equipment, data acquisition systems, and measurement tools.
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and root cause analysis methodologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Proficiency in CAD and manufacturing software (e.g., SolidWorks, Minitab, or equivalent).
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical Device).
Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
Understanding of PLCs, LabVIEW, or automated test systems.
