Adjunct Professor-Chemistry Faculty support the college mission by facilitating a Blended Learning Model through engaging classroom activities supplemented by comprehensive course content consistent with the Community of Inquiry framework, Seven Principles of Good Practice, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and the college’s Rigor Standards Framework. Faculty are subject‑matter experts tasked with managing classroom responsibilities and are offered extensive training in teaching strategies. They are expected to participate in departmental and campus‑wide activities to support student learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications • Degree Requirements: Master’s Degree in Chemistry required. • Work Experience Requirements: Experience working in the Chemistry field.

Essential Position Responsibilities/Functions

Provide instruction focused on teaching and learning to ensure students meet all course outcomes and classroom objectives.

Participate in professional development activities that enhance teaching and facilitation skills.

Participate in campus‑wide initiatives that support recruitment, retention, and graduation goal attainment. This includes monitoring, adjusting (when needed), and assessing classroom program retention/graduation, and meeting regularly with program advisors to discuss student performance and academic concerns.

Fulfill all administrative duties related to instructional responsibilities.

Salary $45 – $65 per hour, based on credentials and experience. Compensation information is a good faith estimate of base pay for this position. Total compensation details will be provided during the interview process.
