$80,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Payroll Supervisor to lead our payroll operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely processing for all employees. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of payroll processes, and hands‑on experience with Paylocity. This is a fully onsite role, working closely with HR, Finance, and department leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and supervise the end‑to‑end payroll process for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members; provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Process and audit payroll using Paylocity, including regular runs, off‑cycle payments, corrections, and adjustments.
Ensure proper documentation, record‑keeping, and adherence to internal controls.
Review and reconcile payroll reports; troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Partner with HR on employee onboarding, terminations, transfers, and pay changes.
Collaborate with Finance on payroll‑related reporting, GL reconciliation, and year‑end activities (W‑2s, tax filings, etc.).
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of payroll laws, wage/hour rules, and healthcare industry practices.
Serve as point of escalation for payroll questions and complex situations.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen compliance.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of payroll experience, including 1+ year in a supervisory or lead role.
Hands‑on experience with Paylocity is required.
Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and wage/hour compliance.
Experience working in a multi‑site or healthcare environment preferred.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate across departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting tools.
