Vice President, Human Resources – Arcadia Transfers – Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union) at Veterans in Healthcare, Santa Monica, CA. Salary: $210,000.00–$225,000.00.
Responsibilities
HR integration across the Keck Medicine of USC system.
Talent acquisition and workforce planning.
Leadership development and succession planning.
Employee engagement and culture advancement.
Labor relations and compliance in a California healthcare environment.
Strategic support to CEO and executive team.
Oversee all facets of the hospital’s HR operations.
Lead Employee Child Care Services and Spiritual Care team.
Develop policies and strategic alignment with Keck Medicine of USC and labor law compliance.
Coach, mentor, and retain a high-performing HR team.
Partner with the system’s HR Centers of Excellence to execute integration and best practices.
Maintain high levels of visibility, communication, and trust across all staff levels.
Manage workforce reporting and represent HR functions at the Governing Board.
Facilitate HRIS optimization in partnership with KMUSC/USC HRIS teams.
Develop HR dashboards, metrics, and workforce insights.
Build, lead, and sustain a values‑aligned employee engagement program.
Quickly build trust and rapport with employees, leaders, and clinicians.
Serve as a visible and strategic partner to the CEO and executive team.
Lead seamless HR integration with Keck Medicine of USC while preserving hospital culture.
Enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention metrics.
Navigate an evolving executive team and support organizational continuity.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
10+ years of experience in healthcare human resources leadership roles, including at least 5 years in a senior executive position in an acute‑care setting.
Knowledge of California employment law, labor relations, and hospital compliance.
Experience with the full spectrum of HR functions.
Current working knowledge of California state and federal laws and regulations related to working hours, conditions, pay practice, labor relations, recruitment, benefits administration, and record‑keeping requirements.
Ability to create a positive, collaborative, engaged, and energized work environment.
Strong commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
Outstanding people skills and cultural competence, awareness, and sensitivity.
Excellent problem‑solving and follow‑up skills.
Ability to navigate an environment of new executive leadership replacing a long‑tenured C‑Suite.

Preferred: SHRM certification.
