Job Title Academic Orthopaedic Tumor Surgeon – CHI

Job Summary The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Creighton University School of Medicine, in partnership with CHI Health and Creighton University Medical Center, seeks an academic orthopaedic surgeon specializing in oncologic surgery to join our expanding clinic practice in Omaha, NE. The successful candidate will collaborate with our integrated Oncology Service Line, participate in the development of a residency program led by Dr. Ranjan Gupta, and contribute to a newly created Orthopaedic Center of Excellence. As a busy academic institution, the role offers opportunities to conduct research with scientists at Common Spirit and Creighton University School of Medicine, and to mentor medical students and residents in a rich teaching environment.

Responsibilities

Perform orthopaedic surgical procedures with a focus on oncologic pathology, including fracture repair, soft tissue management, nerve repair, and arthroscopy.

Collaborate closely with oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to deliver integrated patient care.

Teach and mentor medical students and residents within the Orthopaedic Tumor Division.

Conduct clinical research and contribute to the academic mission of the institution.

Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC electronic medical records system.

Qualifications

American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery.

Fellowship training in Tumor/Sarcoma or equivalent clinical experience.

Valid and unrestricted state medical license.

Strong academic interest with a desire to educate and participate in research.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $341.00 – $350.00 with a highly competitive salary guarantee.
