Dentist 1 at New York State Center for Recruitment & Public Service
Pay Range $124,614 – $152,158 per year
Duties
Delivery of dental care to incarcerated individuals consistent with HSM 2.0 and community standards.
Supervision of auxiliary staff members.
Responsible for physical plant, clinic security, tool control, sharps and key control.
Qualifications
Must be eligible for transfer or meet the minimum qualification: possession of a license and current registration to practice dentistry in New York State.
For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non‑competitive appointment; all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
At a future date, employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non‑competitive employment status converted to competitive status without having to compete in an examination.
While serving permanently in an NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.
