UHS Hospitals is actively recruiting a Full Time Palliative Associate Medical Director of Palliative Care Services located at United Health Services Hospitals in Johnson City, New York. Seeking both experienced or a new graduate. Responsibilities

Assist in growing the program, particularly outpatient as well as see outpatients for evaluations and treatment, including performing physical examinations, preventive health measures, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic tests, identifying and assessing patient clinical problems and health care needs, recording findings, and formulating a plan and prognosis based on the patient''s condition. Assist in performing consultations on inpatient consult service at UHSH. Participate in goals of care meetings with other members of the Palliative Medicine Team. Participate in rounding on inpatients followed by the consultation service at UHSH. Serve as a clinical educator in the instruction and supervision of learners: medical students, internal medicine residents, family medicine residents, and geriatric medicine fellows rotating on the service. Participate in clinical research activities as determined by the Medical Director. Participate in and become a member of the UHS Ethics Committee. Perform other assigned clinical duties as determined by the Medical Director. Maintain board certification/eligibility in Palliative Medicine as well as pertinent medical specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine) and licensure in New York State. Qualifications

Board certified/eligible in Palliative Medicine and a pertinent medical specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine), with the ability to maintain licensure in New York State. Strong understanding of palliative care clinical models including design, business modeling, productivity, quality, experience, and equity; experience with new program development or expansion preferred. Experience in clinical teaching is desired. Team and Schedule
