Our client, a leader in the manufacturing and supply chain industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Supplier Quality Engineer - Intermediate to join their team. This role is integral to the Quality Assurance department supporting supplier evaluation, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Title Supplier Quality Engineer - Intermediate
Location Menlo Park, CA
Pay Range 30 to 36/ hr
What’s the Job?
Drive improvement and corrective actions to enhance the quality of components sourced from external suppliers.
Provide technical support during supplier selection and development processes.
Develop and maintain acceptance criteria for materials and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and quality standards.
Assist in generating inspection procedures, train inspectors, and develop sourcing inspection tools and equipment.
Analyze incoming material defects, investigate field failures, and communicate issues to suppliers for corrective action.
What’s Needed?
BS degree in engineering or a related scientific field with 5-8 years of relevant work experience, or a Master’s degree with 0-2 years of experience.
Strong understanding of quality systems, supplier evaluation and manufacturing processes.
Experience in generating test protocols, monitoring testing, and issuing qualification reports.
Ability to review design specifications and provide input from a quality and manufacturability perspective.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead moderate scope projects and guide less experienced staff.
