Opportunity The Network Engineer II is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of Komline’s networks across multiple site locations while leading integration efforts for newly acquired companies. Bringing hands‑on technical expertise with a deep understanding of modern security frameworks in an enterprise setting, the Network Engineer II will support Komline’s growth and evolution by assisting in the design and maintenance of the network infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

Assess network, firewall, VPN, and wireless capabilities of acquired entities and develop integration plans to align with corporate standards

Design and manage enterprise networks by overseeing LAN/WAN, SD‑WAN, wireless, and VPN architectures to ensure high performance and availability

Optimize network security by working with third‑party Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to maintain enterprise firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and access controls in collaboration with a Cybersecurity Lead

Collaborate with System Administrators to manage and integrate Active Directory environments across acquisitions, ensuring secure, efficient authentication, replication, and connectivity between domains and hybrid cloud services

Identify opportunities to enhance network reliability, scalability, and security, including hardware and software upgrades

Evaluate, select, and maintain relationships with network equipment vendors, ISPs, and managed service providers

Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures

Ensure proactive monitoring, rapid incident response, and root‑cause analysis for network‑related issues

Work closely with IT infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to ensure seamless connectivity and integration across all systems

Contribute to annual budgeting, capacity planning, and long‑term infrastructure roadmaps

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

7+ years of experience managing enterprise networks in multi‑site environments

Experience integrating acquired networks or managing complex network transitions and upgrades

Advanced knowledge of network technologies and principles (OSI model)

Strong experience with firewalls, routing, switching, wireless, and network monitoring tools

Familiarity with hybrid environments, Azure networking, and Active Directory/Entra ID integration preferred

Knowledge of VMware/Hyper‑V virtualisation technologies

Familiarity with cloud service models and cloud integration with on‑premises data centre infrastructure

Ability to lead projects, manage timelines, and communicate effectively across teams

Ability to travel up to 50% to support network requirements across various sites and acquisitions

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, and others
