Job Summary The Campus Academic Dean operates under the direct supervision of the Campus Director, managing and promoting a productive academic environment. This role provides academic oversight for program directors and faculty, supports the development, implementation, and delivery of academic outcomes, and ensures compliance with college policies, accreditation, and federal/state requirements.

Responsibilities

Supervise instruction to maintain program integrity through classroom observations.

Support academic outcomes such as course completion, student satisfaction, retention, and career placement.

Coordinate faculty teaching schedules, classroom and lab facilities, and campus activities.

Manage faculty recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and orientation training.

Implement the knowledge and skills gained from NAO, In-service, Academic Excellence, PALs, and other college-wide meetings.

Review assessment data and assist faculty/programs with instructional adjustments to improve student learning.

Ensure a safe and engaging classroom environment for students and faculty.

Maintain accurate equipment lists and calibration records.

Participate in program reviews, institutional committees, and campus meetings.

Ensure programs comply with college policies, accreditation, and federal/state requirements.

Provide academic counseling and support faculty with student outreach.

Monitor daily reports tracking attendance, grades, and Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Analyze institutional reports to support continuous improvement and develop action plans.

Monitor and document student GPA term by term and assist students below benchmarks.

Participate in admissions, education, employment services, and campus events.

Act as campus Incident Commander and safety committee leader.

Collaborate with the College Dean of Instruction, Student Success, and Student Affairs Manager.

Coordinate and facilitate New Student Orientation, college prep day, and CDV-Go-Live.

Collect, audit, and maintain up-to-date faculty files.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree; Master’s degree preferred; accredited U.S. institutions or equivalent non-U.S. degrees.

Minimum of 5 years of administrative experience, preferably in an educational institution.

Strong language skills – read, interpret policy documents, write reports, and speak before groups.

Mathematical skills – perform basic arithmetic, rates, ratios, percentages, and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning skills – solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and use common sense.

Computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) and experience with Student Information Systems and LMS.

Compliance with legal and background screening requirements; experience with criminal history reviews acceptable.

Physical Demands: Employees are regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, and perform tasks described in the Physical Demands section.

Work Environment: The environment is usually moderate noise; routinely requires interaction with students and faculty.
