Civil Engineering Project Manager – YU & Associates
As a Civil Engineering Project Manager you will supervise complex projects, ensuring cost, quality, safety, and timelines meet predetermined conditions. You will define specifications, plan implementation, create budgets, coordinate technical and financial aspects, and serve as the primary client contact.
Responsibilities
Identify unanticipated tasks that could increase costs or delay schedules.
Monitor project progress, interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate assignments.
Establish project budgets, track expenditures against forecasts, and implement corrective actions; prepare cost‑to‑come estimates.
Ensure internal quality assurance procedures are followed.
Apply current engineering principles and practices across the firm.
Supervise a staff of engineers and technicians.
Plan, schedule, or coordinate preparation of documents or activities for multiple major projects.
Assist with marketing, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination, and resource allocation.
Perform preliminary engineering design and review design/drafting work of staff or contractors.
Coordinate work with other engineers, professionals, and support services staff.
Assist in company‑wide business development across all disciplines.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
Registered Professional Engineer in New Jersey or New York.
8+ years of engineering management experience.
Proven ability to identify, develop, and mentor talent.
Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
Effectively manage projects from concept through completion.
Proven leadership and decision‑making skills.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and judgment capabilities.
Ability to establish a vision and create an environment for excellence.
Demonstrated record of ethics and high standards.
Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills demonstrated through technical presentations, papers, or committee participation.
