Senior Finance Analyst

Overview Shape our strategic financial direction by delivering FP&A and Business Intelligence insights, constructing advanced financial models, and composing robust BI reports within the defense sector.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan, long‑range strategic plan, and quarterly financial forecasts for defense programs.
Design and maintain complex financial models for program performance, Estimates at Complete (EACs), pricing, and what‑if scenario analysis.
Provide strategic financial recommendations to senior leadership through in‑depth variance analysis of program profitability, revenue, and costs.
Ensure rigorous financial compliance with government regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
Prepare and present executive‑level financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external defense customers.
Design, develop, and deploy dynamic Power BI dashboards and other BI solutions to provide real‑time visibility into program performance, budget status, and KPIs.
Leverage SQL and other data tools to automate financial data collection, reporting, and visualization.
Conduct advanced data analytics on large, complex datasets to identify trends, mitigate risks, and uncover strategic opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Program Management, Contracts, and Operations—to define business requirements and ensure data accuracy.
Qualifications Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Tableau, with hands‑on experience building complex dashboards from scratch.
Proficiency with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Deltek Costpoint.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to diverse audiences.
Position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware controlled by U.S. export laws. Eligible candidates must be a “U.S. Person” under applicable export laws.
Preferred
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Financial planning and analysis experience within the defense industry or a government contracting environment.
Deep expertise with government contracting types (e.g., FFP, CPFF, T&M) and their financial management requirements.
Active U.S. Secret security clearance.
Relevant professional certification (Certified Defense Financial Manager, CPA, or CFA).
Practical knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) principles and reporting.
Salary Range $98,000–$120,000 annually. Pay may vary based on location, job function, education, and experience.
