Principal Software Engineer - Data Management
PTC is a global team of nearly 7,000 employees working on cloud‑based CAD and collaboration tools. As an Onshape R&D Software Engineer, you will design and develop services and APIs that enable agile product development and empower mechanical engineering teams.
Location: Boston, MA
Responsibilities As an Onshape R&D Software Engineer, you’ll work in the Data Management team, creating services and APIs that streamline design and manufacturing processes.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong foundation in computer science, data structures, and algorithms.
7–10 years of software engineering experience.
Understanding of cloud‑native architectures.
Experience with MongoDB or another NoSQL database.
Experience building networked applications with Java or C#.
Experience building and using RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with TypeScript and web UI development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with PDM or PLM.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
Compensation Salary range: $134,000 – $203,500 per year, plus performance‑based bonus. Employees may also be eligible for stock options through the Employee Stock Purchase Program and equity programs.
