Senior Project Accountant - Construction Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is actively seeking a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team in California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the company's financial operations within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the finance team, working closely with key stakeholders, and contributing to the company's growth and success. This opportunity is for a Senior Accountant/Senior Project Accountant, with construction experience, to move into a junior controller role eventually.
Position Overview The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company's financial operations. This individual will be responsible for reviewing contracts, managing collections, supporting lien release processes, preparing WIP schedules, and maintaining accurate financial statements. The role also includes responsibility for payroll for approximately 150 employees, distinct from the payroll administrator's duties.

Review and analyze contracts
Manage collections
Coordinate lien release activities
Prepare and analyze WIP reports
Maintain balance sheet and income statement accuracy
Prepare aging reports
Handle payroll for approximately 150 employees
Support general accounting and month-end activities

Compensation and Benefits Compensation:
$100,000-$125,000 per year
