The opportunity The AI Finance Senior Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the overall data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will leverage expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close/consolidation) coupled with deep skills in enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Gen AI) to support key finance personas. One key responsibility is developing and implementing our “FDL consulting blueprint” service offering, creating an industry‑agnostic data model that ensures data consistency and interoperability across finance applications.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of system architecture solutions in collaboration with technical teams.

Tailor technology platforms to business processes, ensuring clients maximize their investment through effective use and continuous improvement.

Manage complex processes, solutions, and projects while maintaining a focus on quality and risk management.

Lead engagement delivery and manage client relationships.

Support the effective management and utilization of finance application data, harnessing machine learning, Gen AI, and Azure data technologies to drive innovation and business value.

Partner with finance, IT, and data science teams to deliver the EY AI Finance solution offering.

Collaborate with the Data Lead and Product Owner to design the FDL Blueprint on a foundation of accurate, consistent, and reliable finance application data architecture.

Support the establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.

Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning, Gen AI, data management, and Azure technologies.

Travel as required for client engagements and project needs.

Support execution of the overall data management strategy for finance applications.

Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, integrating machine learning and Gen AI potential.

Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, entity‑relationship diagrams, and data lineage maps.

Lead the design and implementation of a scalable, performant, and secure FDL Blueprint solution.

Collaborate with data scientists and finance SMR’s across service lines to identify opportunities for applying machine learning and Gen AI to finance applications.

Ensure a robust data governance framework for the FDL.

Stay abreast of advances in machine learning, Gen AI, data management, and Azure technologies.

Travel as required for client engagements.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Computer Science.

Minimum seven years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), with demonstrated expertise in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, modeling, scenario analysis, variance analysis, and reporting.

Strong proficiency with Enterprise Performance Management platforms, such as Anaplan, Oracle EPM Cloud Suite, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream, Tagetik, or similar.

Solid understanding of financial data architecture and governance, including financial modeling, dimensional design, chart of accounts structuring, data quality standards, reconciliation, and master data management.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adopt emerging technologies.

Strong business and commercial awareness; strong analytical and written and oral communication.

Willingness to travel.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Degree emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Computer Science, MIS, or IT.

Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and stay ahead of industry trends.

Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and client trust.

Proactive approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making.

Experience leading diverse teams in dynamic environments.
