General Counsel
to lead critical negotiations and provide strategic legal guidance. This is an exceptional role for a Counsel with fintech experience who wants to combine legal expertise with operational impact. As the first legal hire on the team, this individual will play a key role in scaling the business.
Base pay range $200,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate credit and financing agreements
Manage relationships with custodians and address broker‑dealer registration inquiries
Collaborate with external counsel on complex legal matters
Integrate legal insights into business strategies
Ensure compliance across tax, securities, and corporate law
Ideal Candidate
J.D. from Top Law School
5+ years of experience at a Top Tier Law Firm or relevant in‑house experience
Fintech experience a plus
Open to working on a small, highly skilled team
Able to work with the business side and collaborate with important stakeholders
Willingness to learn new skills and be adaptable to the growth of the firm
Strong knowledge of tax law, securities law, and corporate financing agreements
Skilled in relationship management and stakeholder engagement
Ability to combine legal expertise with operational insight
Excellent communicator with a proactive, solutions‑driven mindset
