KLR Executive Search is proud to partner with our client, Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI), to recruit its next Director of Finance. For more than 80 years, RIMI has been a leader in world‑class diagnostic imaging, operating a network of state‑of‑the‑art outpatient facilities staffed by more than 90 board‑certified radiologists. As one of the nation’s first outpatient Diagnostic Imaging Centers of Excellence - and the first in Rhode Island - RIMI is recognized for exceptional quality, safety, innovation, and patient‑centered care. Its radiologists also staff 11 hospitals across Rhode Island and Massachusetts and serve as faculty at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. This position is full‑time and based on‑site in Rhode Island.

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Operations, the Director of Finance will play a key leadership role overseeing all financial operations across multiple entities. This includes tax strategy and compliance, treasury and cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for shareholders and senior leadership.

A CPA is required for this role, given the depth of tax strategy, compliance oversight, and multi‑entity financial leadership involved.

Key Priorities:

Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Oversee financial reporting, dashboards, budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management.

Manage cash flow operations across multiple entities and ensure covenant compliance.

Direct all tax‑related strategies and compliance, including federal, state, and local filings.

Conduct taxable income projections, R&D tax credit studies, depreciation analyses, and Section 174 calculations.

Advise on shareholder distributions and ensure accurate fixed asset capitalization and depreciation.

Partner with external tax advisors, auditors, lenders, and internal stakeholders.

Support due diligence, purchase price allocation, and financial planning for acquisitions and expansions.

Negotiate vendor contracts and oversee insurance programs, including property, casualty, and workers' compensation.

The Successful Candidate Will Bring:

Ten plus years of finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.

An active CPA designation is a requirement for the position.

Deep expertise in tax regulations, compliance, and multi‑entity financial management.

Strong analytical skills and strategic financial insight.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to non‑financial audiences.

Proficiency in Excel and mid‑range accounting systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience a plus.

A proactive, relationship‑driven approach, intellectual curiosity, and strong organizational skills.

The compensation range provided is $134,504-$190,000. This does not include benefits or bonus potential. Compensation is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the role, function, and associated responsibilities, as well as a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
