Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Director – Data Scientist in Minneapolis, MN. Remote work is permitted up to 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and implement analytical solutions using predictive modeling, advanced machine learning techniques, simulation, and optimization solutions.
Identify and interpret business needs, define high-level business requirements, strategy, technical risks, and scope.
Engage with business leaders and analysts to provide analytical thought leadership for business problems.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in business analytics, statistics, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience with advanced statistical concepts and techniques, including linear algebra.
Hands‑on analytics experience using generalized regression models, Bayesian methods, Random Forest, gradient boosting, neural networks, machine learning, and clustering.
Proficiency in statistical programming (SAS, Python, SQL) and data visualization software in a data‑rich environment.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $165,800 - $194,600 per year.
Pay‑for‑performance compensation philosophy with variable pay (bonus, commissions, long‑term incentives).
Comprehensive benefits program including vacation, sick time, 401(k), health, dental, and life insurance.
