Resume reviews; Face-to-face interviews required • Job Description The Procurement Specialist supports the East Region operations at Reworld Waste by managing the full procurement lifecycle across various goods and services-from consumables to turbine components. This role is critical in achieving cost savings, enhancing supplier performance, and ensuring timely material availability, particularly during outage seasons. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on sourcing professional who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments, brings strategic thinking to vendor consolidation, and is comfortable working with cross-functional teams and procurement systems. A strong focus on data analysis, compliance, and process improvement is essential. Specific Accountabilities Include (but not limited to): • Lead strategic sourcing across diverse categories, including facility equipment, industrial parts, and operational consumables. • Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive supplier consolidation to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO). • Manage bid events, RFPs, vendor negotiations, contract execution, and ongoing supplier performance tracking. • Maintain procurement documentation and workflows using systems such as PeopleSoft and Jaggaer. • Provide 24/7 support during outage seasons for urgent sourcing and contractor coordination. • Analyze supplier KPIs, including response time, approval timelines, and invoicing accuracy, to improve procurement efficiency. • Support the development, review, and enhancement of Master Service Agreements (MSAs) with contractors and suppliers. • Sourced and managed spare parts inventory across shared facilities to maintain operational readiness. • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to align procurement with project and production needs. • Deliver procurement training to internal stakeholders and contribute to system/process improvements. • Attend regional procurement meetings, supplier walkdowns, and technical conferences to strengthen market awareness. Education: • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical discipline is required. • ISM or APICS certification is preferred but not required Experience: • Minimum of 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management in a manufacturing, energy, or industrial setting. • Experience sourcing direct equipment and materials such as turbines, mechanical parts, or industrial components. • Familiarity with enterprise procurement platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft, Jaggaer). • Proven experience managing RFPs, bids, and vendor negotiations independently. • Background supporting outage or critical operational timelines is a strong advantage. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Strong understanding of contracting principles, including risk management, warranty terms, and procurement law. • Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar analytics tools is a plus. • Ability to analyze data and use KPIs to drive procurement improvements and accountability. • Skilled in managing both lump-sum and time & materials contracts. • High safety awareness and ability to work in industrial environments (heat, noise, odors). • Effective communicator and collaborator with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and engineering. • Ability to prioritize tasks under pressure and adapt to fast-changing operational demands. • Comfortable engaging with suppliers on-site, conducting performance reviews, and managing long-term relationships. • Strong initiative, detail orientation, and commitment to continuous improvement.
