Position Summary Under general supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist is an advanced allied health professional with demonstrated skills and competency in all required ultrasound and vascular modalities provided within the scope of the Imaging Services Department. Ability to effectively communicate pertinent patient information to the radiologist. Ability to deliver quality customer service. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the Job **This per diem position will cover on call for third shift as well as covering for vacations and sick calls. Ability to perform all aspects of Ultrasound imaging. Ability to communicate pertinent patient information to the radiologist. Ability to evaluate the demands of physicians, patients, staff and superiors. Ability to effectively identify and implement performance improvement techniques. Ability to deliver quality customer service. Pay Rate: $48/hr Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Requirements Experience: 3 years dedicated experience in General and Vascular Ultrasound (required) providing the care needed by the geriatric, adult, adolescent, child, and neonatal patient populations. Or 2 years of full-time experience at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center as an General and Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with work assignments which demonstrate the assumption of increasing responsibilities . Education/Licensure/Certification: Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) required. Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred. About the company
