Position Overview Project Environmental Engineer – Seattle, Washington. This role is a full‑time, mid‑senior level position that supports environmental engineering projects for GeoEngineers, Inc.

Responsibilities

Conduct field investigations to collect environmental data (soil, sediment, groundwater, vapor, and surface water) and prepare remedial investigation work plans, sampling, and analysis plans.

Develop engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and cost estimates; prepare permit applications and coordinate with regulatory agencies.

Complete engineering analyses and moderately complex conceptual and spatial models, including GIS data processing and mapping.

Generate technical reports, figures, tables, and routine documentation; assist senior staff with large, complex reports.

Support project management tasks such as budget planning, field report reviews, and proposal development.

Coordinate small projects under the supervision of a certified professional engineer or geologist; gather field data and coordinate sample testing.

Prepare detailed, accurate field reports and ensure all work aligns with project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.

Travel domestically to project sites and GeoEngineers’ Redmond, Washington office up to 10% of the time; telecommuting from home may be permitted up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.

At least 3 years of experience as an Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist, or in a comparable role.

Experience must include at least: • 2 years of Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments; • 2 years of contributing to technical reports; • 2 years of assisting with budgeting and scheduling field work.

U.S. workers (citizens, permanent residents, or eligible foreign nationals) are required.

Eligible or certified as an Engineer Intern (EI) or Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT), or have passed the FE exam.

Compensation Salary offered: $122,990 per year (40+ hours/week).
