Our Promo Team plays a critical role in shaping how audiences discover and emotionally connect with our stories. Promos drive the first impression of each series — and ultimately determine listener engagement at scale. We are now seeking a Director, Promo Team to lead creative development, establish quality standards, and oversee the production pipeline across global writing and production teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee the creative vision for all promos, ensuring clarity, strong pacing, and emotional engagement.

Review and refine promo scripts, strengthening hooks, character moments, and overall storytelling impact.

Translate writer concepts into clear, production‑ready direction for editors, VO artists, and production teams.

Act as the final creative gatekeeper, maintaining consistent quality standards across all promo content.

Collaborate closely with the US‑based writing team to elevate narrative execution.

Direct and quality‑control the work of the India‑based production team to ensure alignment with creative intent.

Partner with marketing, content, and data teams to ensure promos support broader campaign and audience goals.

Manage multiple concurrent promo productions, ensuring smooth workflows and timely delivery.

Identify and resolve creative or production bottlenecks with clear, actionable feedback.

Establish scalable processes that improve quality and consistency across global teams.

Use performance data to guide creative decisions and optimize promo effectiveness.

Qualifications

Expertise in audio/visual storytelling — particularly directing, producing, or overseeing content such as TV, film, trailers, commercials, or digital scripted media.

Strong instincts around pacing, hook creation, and emotional engagement.

Able to balance creative excellence with operational efficiency in fast‑paced, high‑volume environments.

Experience giving clear, actionable creative feedback to writers, editors, and production teams.

Strong cross‑functional communication skills and the ability to motivate teams while upholding high creative standards.

Experience collaborating with remote or international teams is a plus.

Comfortable working on‑site in our Culver City office alongside writers, leadership, and cross‑functional partners.

Experience in performance‑driven content creation (promos, trailers, campaign materials).

Familiarity with data‑driven creative iteration.

A track record of building or refining creative pipelines at scale.

Details Term: on‑site (4 Days in office/1 remote)
