Job Description Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager / Estimator to advance one’s career with a great team and work with prestigious clients on a diverse portfolio of construction projects.

Responsibilities

Provide estimate and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.

Estimate at conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.

Assist on feasibility studies and write procurement reports.

Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre‑qualification stage, producing bid lists and analysis, creating bid reports, and compiling contractual documents.

Participate effectively with post‑contract cost variances and the change control processes, referring major changes to line manager when applicable.

Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation processes.

Produce monthly post‑contract cost reports and present them to the client.

Provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts.

Maintain liaison with the client and other consultants at all project stages.

Identify opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the appropriate line manager, utilizing the marketing database.

Identify improvements for cost management procedures, templates, and products, and refer ideas to the appropriate line manager.

Qualifications

Good technical experience in all cost management areas: pre‑contract, post‑contract and final account.

Solid presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and a team‑player attitude.

Experience in a variety of procurement methods and contract types.

Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life‑cycle costing.

Education / Experience

Previous experience as a cost estimator of at least 3–5 years in vertical construction.

Subject matter expertise in Civil, Structural, or Architectural cost estimation.

College degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field with a technical focus.

Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts, and general conditions) at all levels of design.

Expert user of Bluebeam, CostX, or similar industry software.

Keen on providing solutions.

Solid experience preparing large‑scale cost estimates.

Proven track record managing large‑scale projects at a program level.

Salary Salary range for this full‑time role is $120K–$140K per year. This range represents base salary only and is a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary.
