Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with fluency in Mandarin Chinese and a solid background in manufacturing accounting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing accounting functions within a manufacturing environment, along with excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin. This role will support our operations involving Chinese-speaking clients, vendors, or subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee general accounting activities including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies specific to manufacturing operations Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including liaising with Chinese-speaking stakeholders, vendors, and subsidiaries Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and forecasts with a focus on manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management Support audit processes and provide documentation as required Assist with tax filings, regulatory compliance, and internal controls Translate or review financial documents and communications in Mandarin when necessary Identify process improvements to streamline accounting operations within manufacturing Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, including significant experience in manufacturing accounting Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required Strong knowledge of GAAP and manufacturing-specific accounting principles (cost accounting, inventory valuation, etc.) Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience working with Chinese companies, subsidiaries, or vendors is a plus Preferred
CPA or equivalent certification Experience with international accounting and cross-border transactions Seniority Level
