The Compensation Programs team supports this mission by providing critical visibility and insights to leaders making pay decisions.
We are looking for an Analyst who is passionate about data-driven pay equity and enjoys working at the intersection of analytics, data engineering, data science, and people operations.
Responsibilities
Perform rigorous analyses on large, complex data sets and provide strategic insights, hypotheses, and conclusions to leaders at all levels.
Work with business and engineering teams to develop Tesla’s data, reporting, and analytics platforms.
Build, maintain, and improve data models, forecast models, dashboards, and data pipelines.
Create clean, reliable, and scalable “single‑source‑of‑truth” data sets by partnering with data quality and application engineering teams to address data issues in upstream systems and document data lineage, business logic, and KPI definitions.
Partner with compensation partners and business analysts to automate manual workflows and train them in tools and skills to become self‑sufficient.
Qualifications
3+ years of relevant work experience with a BS/MS in STEM or quantitative field (CS, Statistics, Operations Research) or a BS/MS/MBA in Business/People related field, or equivalent experience.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and GoLang, experience with commercial and emerging BI databases, technologies, and languages.
Experience with data analytics tools and languages, advanced Excel BI functionality, and Power Query (M), PowerPivot (DAX).
Experience with data visualization/dashboarding tools (Tableau, Power BI).
Ability to self‑start and self‑direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
Excellent problem‑framing, problem‑solving, and project management skills; ability to change direction quickly.
Experience building, deploying, and maintaining data pipelines using open‑source tools like Python, Airflow, and Spark.
