Position Overview
GISI Consulting Group (GCG) is seeking a strategic and analytical
Senior Financial Analyst
to join our finance team and support our continued success. This role will play a critical role in driving financial performance and strategic decision‑making across the organization. This position will partner with our CEO, CFO, head of Human Resources and executive stakeholders to provide financial insights, forecasting, reporting and presentation preparation to support the firm’s growth and profitability. The ideal candidate is a self‑driven, detail‑oriented professional who takes ownership of deliverables and thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑exposure environment.
Location
This is a hybrid role, based out of either GISI’s Newport Beach, CA or New York, NY office. Please note this role is posted in each location, but there is only one position available.
Reporting
This role will report to the Manager, Corporate Finance (based in Newport Beach, CA).
Job Duties / Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across business units
Support the development of financial models to evaluate project profitability, resource allocation, and ROI
Monitor KPIs and provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency
Team with Operating Company financial leaders to validate information and data integrity
Collaborate with project teams to track budgets, billing, and revenue recognition
Analyze contract terms and pricing strategies to support financial analytics
Support internal teams with special projects (e.g. executive compensation, vendor analysis)
Reporting & Compliance: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership and stakeholders
Assist with audit preparation and regulatory reporting
Strategic Initiatives:
Support market expansion analysis, and capital investment planning
Support identifying cost‑saving opportunities and process improvements with a focus on driving actionable recommendations and follow‑through
Contribute to digital transformation efforts in financial systems and reporting
Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
Experience with OneStream is highly desirable
Exposure and interest in identifying areas of automation and use of AI Agents
Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
Strong ambition and desire to be part of a dynamic and growing business with the maturity to work autonomously and deliver with minimal oversight
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MS, MBA preferred)
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, preferably in consulting or banking services
Experience in employee‑owned organization preferred
