Lead Structural Design Engineer We are seeking an experienced Lead Structural Design Engineer to lead design activities for offshore and subsea projects. This role involves managing a team, delivering high‑quality engineering solutions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Employment Type Full‑Time
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate structural design engineering activities across projects and tenders.
Perform advanced ANSYS structural analysis and hydrodynamic calculations.
Develop and review technical documentation such as procedures, reports, and specifications.
Ensure deliverables meet schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to define methodologies and resolve technical challenges.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or Structural).
10+ years of experience in offshore structural engineering or subsea design engineering.
Proficiency in ANSYS for structural and hydrodynamic analysis.
Strong knowledge of DNV classification standards, ABS, API, and AISC codes.
Familiarity with offshore engineering principles, risk assessment techniques, and installation analysis.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Preferred
Experience with rigging design, seafastening, and installation engineering.
Ability to travel offshore as required for project execution.
