Director of Financial Planning and Analysis
Ascension Search Partners is engaged by a growing company in the Dallas – Fort Worth area seeking a director of FP&A. Reporting to the CFO, the role leads key strategic finance initiatives across reporting, forecasting, incentive plan support, and executive‑level communications, while enhancing core financial systems and operational reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the annual budget and recurring forecast processes; maintain core financial models.
Strengthen performance reporting, refine KPIs, improve data sourcing, and utilize business intelligence tools.
Act as the primary finance partner to operating teams, providing operational and financial analysis.
Review monthly results for accuracy and alignment with accounting.
Manage short‑term cash‑flow forecasting.
Contribute to board and investor presentation preparation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
7+ years of FP&A experience.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and reporting skills.
Effective communicator with strong presentation abilities and comfort working across all levels of the organization.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Experience with financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, planning software, BI platforms) is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives.
