Accounting Manager
Publicly‑traded company seeking an accounting manager with experience in loan portfolio reporting and a background in public accounting or public company financial reporting. Public accounting experience with financial services clients is highly desired.
Base pay range $130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of loan-related disclosures and supporting schedules used in 10‑Q/10‑K filings, including materials that inform MD&A and external reporting deliverables.
Support quarterly earnings processes by assembling and validating loan data included in 8‑K release tables and other public‑facing reports.
Coordinate the completion of required regulatory submissions, including loan‑focused components of the Call Report, FRY schedules, and other banking regulatory filings.
Develop and review monthly internal reporting packages—such as board‑level analytics and variance reviews—ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and strong internal controls.
Partner across finance, reporting, and operations to evaluate the impact of new accounting and regulatory guidance, helping shape the bank’s approach to emerging GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to close activities, audit support, and ad‑hoc financial analyses, including reconciliations, journal entry review, and preparation of loan‑related schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in public accounting or public company financial reporting, with a strong understanding of GAAP and related technical concepts.
Proven ability to navigate complex accounting guidance and stay current on evolving regulatory reporting requirements, supported by strong analytical and research skills.
Background in the banking or financial services sector is highly preferred, particularly roles involving regulated reporting environments.
Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or MBA strongly valued.
