Electrical Engineering Leader Business Unit: IND | Employment Type: Regular | Location: United States - Nationwide

Domestic and/or international travel may be required. Travel frequency: 10%.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise an industrial engineering team, providing technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior staff.

Oversee and provide expert guidance on complex electrical system designs to meet client project requirements.

Review draft designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and sign off on completed designs.

Ensure all designs follow firm policies, quality, and practices.

Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs align with location specifications, updating design requirements as necessary.

Develop white papers and technical design documentation for new or special case designs, and submit technical papers for publication in journals.

Work with sales staff to create proposals in response to RFPs, ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices.

Meet with current and potential clients to review their design needs and provide technical guidance.

Attend conferences and symposia to enhance the visibility of the firm's products and services.

Act as the main point of contact for external clients and industry contacts, collaborating with clients and government officials to clarify technical questions.

Provide updates to project management as necessary.

Mentor junior staff to develop their skills and prepare them for future growth within the firm.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or related discipline.

Professional engineering (PE) license.

15 years of related experience.

Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to supervise the work of others.

Proven experience leading a team of industrial electrical engineers.

Understanding of FEL, FEED delivery process.

Experience with progressive design build and design build delivery methods.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to obtain licensing in multiple states.

Ability to provide detailed engineering estimate.

Ability to maintain project budget and schedule.
