Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Nurse Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality surgical care for intraoperative patients.
Supervise staff involved in clinical patient care, ensuring delivery of quality service and modeling professional nursing practice.
Assist with administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources; may assume full responsibility for the unit in delegated areas and in the absence of the manager.
Promote an environment that encourages shared voice in nursing practice, continuous improvement, and optimal patient outcomes.
Consult and collaborate with other health‑care professionals to coordinate patient care management; serve as a resource for staff, physicians, students, and others.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in California.
BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months.
Three (3) or more years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
Demonstrated hospital‑management skills with progressive patient‑care service experience.
Knowledge of disaster incidents and sentinel events; proven problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
Ability to navigate multiple competing priorities with strong analytical judgement.
Effective communication skills, fostering collaboration, teamwork, and a positive inclusive culture.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and advance organizational and departmental goals.
Preferred Qualifications
MSN or Master’s degree in an affiliated healthcare discipline.
Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR).
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM).
Charge or supervisory RN experience.
Special Conditions
Must be able to work varied hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical.
Annual full pay range: $132,600 - $259,800 (pro-rated if application is for less than 100% appointment). The hourly equivalent is $63.51 - $124.43.
