Full-Time | Hybrid | $160K–$180K + Bonus + Equity + Benefits
We’re seeking a Data Analysis Engineer with a strong foundation in photonics, statistics, and large-scale data analysis to uncover performance drivers, optimize yield, and accelerate product development. In this role, you’ll analyze device-, module-, and system-level datasets to identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities—partnering closely with design, test, and fab teams to elevate reliability and manufacturability across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze large datasets from photonic devices, modules, and systems to extract performance insights.
Develop models, algorithms, and metrics to evaluate device and system behavior, reliability, and yield.
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to identify correlations and sources of variability.
Build dashboards, automated pipelines, and visualization tools for monitoring and reporting.
Work closely with photonics design, test engineering, and fab process teams to understand design–process interactions.
Drive data-informed recommendations into both design and manufacturing workflows.
Support yield improvement, performance optimization, and failure analysis through data-driven methodologies.
Document findings and present technical insights to cross‑functional teams and leadership.
Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in photonics, data analysis, or semiconductor manufacturing.
Strong background in statistics, signal processing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, or similar analysis frameworks.
Experience with JMP or equivalent statistical software.
Knowledge of photonics or optical communication systems.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional groups including design and fab teams.
