Schedule: Casual On‑Call, Mon‑Fri, varying shifts 6 a.m.–6 p.m.

Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. It is a not‑for‑profit, full‑service community hospital offering medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24‑hour Emergency Department. The campus also hosts Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence, a medical building with physician offices, and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a registered nurse, prepares the procedure room, selects and organizes the equipment, and assists the physician.

Participates in an orderly and efficient room turnover based on knowledge of endoscopic procedure, physician preference, and patient care principles.

Prepares and maintains all endoscopic equipment, including cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of endoscopes and accessory equipment.

Maintains a clean, orderly environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

One year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician with completion of Endoscopy Technician Core Curriculum training, including Steris Operator Training Course, Care and Handling of Flexible Endoscopes and Equipment, Electrosurgical Safety, and ERCP From Start to Finish.

American Heart Association BLS/CPR required.

Salary Minimum $24.00/hour – Maximum $24.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
