Responsibilities

Perform mission integration of Space Vehicles (SV) to Launch Vehicles (LV), supporting the Government Mission Integration Manager (GMIM) in executing the mission. Evaluate payload integration requirements, assess the abilities of the Launch Service Provider to meet payload requirements, and identify mission integration risks/issues to the GMIM.

Support/Manage the development/flow-down/verification of launch service requirements to ensure LV hardware and launch services successfully fulfill mission requirements. Provide technical training to USG mission team members on the mission management process.

Support/Manage launch interface requirement changes, launch schedule, launch site operations, and mission assurance process in support of readiness reviews.

Develop/Provide programmatic and technical assessments of mission integration activities, launch campaign plans, meeting working groups, readiness reviews, etc.

Develop/Provide summary launch vehicle processing schedules and status products, monitor and assess the launch service providers processing and problem resolution activities for status and making recommendations to Space Force Leadership.

Develop/Review day of launch and mission rehearsal scripts, timelines, technical reference products, etc., and support the USG launch team on-console activities during mission rehearsals and day of launch (DoL). Lead/Participate in Rehearsal Anomaly Team (RAT) developing anomalies and process for launch rehearsal activities.

Identify/Analyze/Evaluate payloads schedule for mission matching to the launch manifest. Also integrate/evaluate space launch manifest data and make assessments/recommendations to resolve launch schedule conflict.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace or STEM discipline.

8+ years as a Mechanical/Aerospace engineer in relevant fields.

2+ years launch vehicle/space vehicle integration or launch/range experience.

Travel up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's of Science degree in Systems Engineering or related field.

Knowledge of launch systems, launch and range systems training, safety and environmental factors, launch processes and policies, quality control, launch and range operations, space and launch vehicle resource, program management and successful mission assurance practices and policies.

Experience with senior level Air Force/Space Force leadership in a Program Office environment.

Experience working with the USSF, Space Systems Center (SSC).

Clearance Requirements

Current Active DoD Secret Clearance required to start.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) / Special Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time.

Move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.

Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
