Job Description PSDO PTC Solution Architect – responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting PLM solutions using PTC Windchill and integrating them with enterprise systems such as SAP S/4 ERP.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support PTC Windchill PLM solutions, including updated version releases.
Gather business requirements, develop technical designs, and ensure seamless integration with S/4 enterprise systems.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, and expertise throughout the project lifecycle, including customization, configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and production deployment.
Lead workshops with stakeholders to translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for Windchill.
Document detailed technical designs for Windchill implementations, including customizations, configurations, and integrations.
Design and implement integration strategies with other enterprise systems such as S/4 ERP, ensuring data flow and operational efficiency.
Develop and execute test cases to ensure quality and functionality of the Windchill solution.
Maintain technical documentation for the Windchill solution, covering architecture, system design, configurations, and customizations.
Provide ongoing support for the Windchill solution, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and performing system upgrades.
Mentor and develop junior consultants and team members.
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in PTC Windchill and related technologies.
Required Skills and Experience
10+ years of deep knowledge of PTC Windchill architecture, data modeling, core functionality, and customization capabilities.
Extensive experience with PLM processes, methods, and tools, including CAD integration, part management, BOM management, change management, and document management.
Proficiency in Java, JSP, JavaScript, JSON, XML, API, and RESTful web services.
Experience integrating Windchill with other enterprise systems.
Project management experience, including timelines, scoping, and quality standards.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge and experience working with Agile development methodologies and delivering solutions through sprint cycles.
Ability to create technical and functional design documents.
Hands‑on experience deploying solutions in hi‑tech industries.
Ability to collaborate with end users and elaborate design with respect to user stories.
Capability to consult with PTC Windchill Technical Leads and Functional Leads to validate solutions and proactively identify risks and mitigation plans.
Understanding of industry standard solutions using OOTB solutions, customization solutions, configuration solutions, AI solutions, and digital strategy.
