Emergency Medicine Physician
Join the Department of Emergency Medicine at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple as a full‑time Academic Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine physician. The position includes a faculty appointment at Baylor College of Medicine with protected teaching time, a competitive salary, performance bonus, comprehensive benefits, and no state income tax. Candidates must be board‑certified or board‑eligible in Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
We are located in Temple, central Texas, an hour north of Austin. Our academic department houses a residency program entering its 32nd year with 42 residents and 36 faculty covering two Emergency Departments. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple provides a 48‑bed ED, Level 1 Trauma – Certified Stroke trauma center with 640 inpatient beds, an 81‑bed ICU, and an ED census of 80,000 visits yearly. Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center is a 20‑bed ED, Level II pediatric trauma center with an annual census of 35,000 visits.
Qualifications Doctorate degree in medicine Licensed to practice medicine in Texas by the Texas Medical Board Board‑certified or actively pursuing board certification in the relevant specialty
